We got engaged on February 9, 2014. It was a beautiful, unseasonably warm day. We had plans to join friends for an afternoon boat cruise, but Alex insisted we climb to the top of King's Pinnacle at Crowder's Mountain State Park first. Talla's sister, Genna, was in town and joined us for the hike. When we arrived at the top of the mountain Alex took Talla aside. As they overlooked Charlotte and the surrounding area, Alex dropped to one knee and proposed. Talla said yes!
