Lake Jocassee, South Carolina

Talla began enjoying Lake Jocassee with friends in the summer of 2011, just before meeting Alex. In summer 2012 Alex joined the group for a camping trip and was almost as enamored with the lake as he was with Talla. Trips to the lake have become a highly-anticipated, twice-a-summer trips for the group. When selecting a wedding destination, we wanted to choose a special place that would bring our friends and family together for a memorable weekend. Welcome to Lake Jocassee.

Lake Jocassee and the South Carolina Upcountry is arguably one of the most beautiful places in the US. In 2012, National Geographic ranked the Jocassee Gorges #9 in their list of 50 “Last Great Places”. With mountains, waterfalls, crystal clear waters, and undisturbed wildlife, you will see for yourself why we choose vacation here so often.

This is a destination wedding, and we encourage our guests to stay at least 2-3 nights to enjoy it if you can.

The two central locations for the weekend are Devil's Fork State Park and The Lodge at Table Rock.

  • Devil's Fork State Park - The park offers access to the lake and any lake activity you can imagine. All of the weekend activities, outside of the wedding itself, will take place on the lake. Many guests will choose to camp at the park or stay in one of the villas. More information can be found on the "accomodations" tab.
  • The Lodge at Table Rock. The ceremony and reception will take place at the lodge. For those staying for the weekend, bus transportation will be provided to and from Devil’s Fork State Park to the lodge. 233 Table Rock State Park Rd Pickens SC 29671
